Order Processing & Design Timeline

All items at The Cat Lab are custom and made to order.

Estimated processing time (design + production): 4–17 business days

  • Design creation: 2–10 business days
  • Production: 2–7 business days after the design is finalized (and approved, if applicable)

Timelines may vary based on order volume, design complexity, and customer response times. Orders that include a proof add-on require approval before production can begin, and any delays in approval will extend the overall processing time. Orders without a proof will move directly into production once the design is complete.

Processing times may also be extended during holidays, sales, or periods of high order volume. More complex designs, such as orders with multiple pets, may require additional design time.

Shipping Times

Once your order has shipped, estimated delivery times are:

  • U.S. (continental): 2–5 business days 
  • Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories: 7–12 business days 
  • International: 10–30 business days

Where We Ship

We currently ship within the United States and select international countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.

If you are located outside of these regions, please feel free to contact us before placing your order. We are happy to see if we can accommodate your request.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery location.

Tracking Information

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email (sent to the email associated with your order).

Fulfillment & Shipment Origin

All orders are produced and shipped from facilities within the United States through trusted third-party production partners.

Because fulfillment may occur through different U.S. facilities depending on the product ordered, destination, and provider availability, shipping origin, carrier, packaging, and delivery timing may vary.

If your order contains multiple items, they may arrive separately and in different packages.

Lost or Delayed Packages

If your tracking shows that your package is in transit but has not updated for several days, we recommend contacting the shipping carrier directly to initiate a missing or delayed package search.

Shipping carriers often require a waiting period before a package can be officially considered lost. If tracking has not updated after an extended period, the carrier can begin an investigation to locate the package.

If your package is marked as delivered but cannot be located, please:

  • Check with neighbors or your local delivery office 
  • Contact the shipping carrier to report the issue 

Please note:

  • The Cat Lab is not responsible for packages once they have been shipped and are in the possession of the carrier 
  • We are unable to file claims on behalf of customers in all cases, but we are happy to assist with information if needed 

If the carrier confirms that your package is lost, please contact us and we will review the situation and determine next steps.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Please ensure that your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. The Cat Lab is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer. If an order is returned due to an address issue, additional shipping fees may apply to reship the item.

Delays & Service Interruptions

While we do our best to meet estimated timelines, delays may occur due to:

  • High order volume
  • Holidays
  • Shipping carrier delays
  • Weather or other unforeseen circumstances

The Cat Lab is not responsible for delays once an order has been shipped and is in the hands of the carrier.

International Orders

International orders may be subject to customs fees, import duties, taxes, or tariffs upon arrival in the destination country.

These charges are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer. They are not included in the product price or shipping cost.

If a package is refused due to unpaid customs fees or duties, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs and associated fees.
